Hello again readers and friends! Here’s my top pick for your music downloading pleasure! First released in 2001, now on CDBbaby and iTunes!!! Since Citadel is so multi-genre, this album doesn’t just fit into one or two styles – here’s some style hints from a major fan of this awesome band! Luuz Ya! Proggirl LA
S.O.S. - Hard & Fast Rock w/odd changes, vocoders & spoken dialogue/lead guit break
Many Struggles - Acous 12 & 6 string guit, duo vox, brushed snare & hi-hat w/vibes
Dungeons of War - Prog rock, dynamic changes; from solemn intro, to folk verses, rock choruses & screaming leads
Lothlorien - Symph rock, flamenco-flavored intro, full bodied acous verses w/slamming choruses, long lead bridge & charging crescendo exit
Winter’s Dying - RnR w/shades of metal & prog, searing vox & guit, thundering drums/bass
On Death & Dying - 3/4 timed, swaying folk rock w/solid classical/new age instrumental closing
Moral Eyes - blues-flavored rock & roll journey (on slave ship) w/pendulum bass, choppy guit, effervescent layered vox, & precision phrased drums
Mindshine - Alt/Prog upbeat Folk w/acous guit & duet vox abounding w/solid timing, motion & finesse, plus a dreamy bridge
Standing Alone - Prog/Classic Rock starts w/ballad intro, jumps at you w/rock chorus & leaps off a cliff into a hard prog bridge, but there’s a soft landing
We Are Alone - Adult Contmp w/smooth jazz vox & acous guit, however there’s some solid acous rock jams hiding in the middle
Lost Kid - Classic Rock, lively ballad verses w/hard rock choruses & lead breaks
Freedom Song (Instrumental Prelude) - All instrumental excerpts from “The Citadel of Cynosure” movie full score
The Voice Inside - Acous guit w/precise double vocal harmonies & jazz bass moves
Hard Life - Blues rock w/nothing but a groove, scowling vox, thick guit & thumping bass
All of these songs show the great diversity of this band! You've got to have this sci-fi concept album from Citadel.
