David Fields:
I grew up in Alabama listening to Joe. He had a great voice. He is right. You had to listen to his words. I recall him coming to Birmingham, Ala. when I was in school at Miles College. I used to listen to the interviews he gave on radio. I often heard women talking about how attractive he was. Shortly after he started preaching the word, he was in Detroit at a small church. I was able to hear him speak. I am still trying to locate the LP with Adorable One on it. I think that was his best recording. That was a beautuful song. Thank you Joe for such beautiful music. Jo Ann S. McKenzie:
I have listened to and cherished Joe Simon's R & B music since I was in my early 20's. I use to stay up late at night studying for my degree as a nontraditional student and rearing three (3) children and working full time, and going to school full time,-- but also listenig to Joe Simon. Somehow his lyrics were soothing to me as I was going through a lot of changes in my marriage at that time. However, in 1989, I heard that Joe Simon would be preaching at the Hunt Elementary Auditorium in Fort Valley, GA and you know I had to hear him. I did and was very impressed and proud that he had found the Lord. After that, I asked other people about Joe Simon and his ministery and all I head was that he had returned to singing R & B and was singing in night clubs. I said, that's strange because he didn't preach like he would be turned around again and seek worldy things instead of the Kindom of God. But in searching the Intenet several years, I finally found The Bishop Joe Simon, Evangelist. Thank God for this is truly a blesssing. I was also able to listen to portions of several of his CD's on line: There is a God Somethere, A Time to Change and several others, and I must say that I am even more impressed with his spiritial CD's. God bless you Bishop Joe Simon and keep up the good work. P.S.: I will be purchasing some of his CD's I soon as I am able.
