Grupo Bakkan was established in 2002. The Group counts with three members from Central America with an extensive music history. This Group is a generation of fresh, creative and original sounds with a new salsa rhythm, BAKKANA!!! (FEEL GOOD!!!).
Toni Nieto owner & promoter had the idea of putting this Group together after years of performing solo with his own Orchestra. The idea was to give salsa music a new twist with sounds from the Caribbean, South and Central America. The hard work and effort paid off by creating and realizing the dream with "Grupo Bakkan".
After contacting several major record labels, the manager, Mauricio Salazar lands a deal with Billy Cortez of Salvavision Music in Los Angeles, California. A few months later the first CD is produced in Cali, Colombia with the help of International recognized musicians. Before the first production hit the market, Grupo Bakkan's popularity was growing in places such as Italy, Germany and Miami to name a few. "A Escondidas", is the name of the first production with 10 original tracks and is now out for sale. |
