Douglas Blue Feather, Cherokee, is an award winning songwriter, recording artist, and performer of contemporary and traditional Native American flute music. He is the winner of the 2003 Native American Music Award for "Flutist Of The Year" for the CD Ride The Lightning and the 2002 Native American Music Award for "Best Independent Recording Of The Year" for the CD Arrival.
Blue Feather has released five CDs, Seventh Fire, Arrival, Ride The Lightning, Star Nations, and The Great Spirit Of Christmas, which have been featured on radio stations world wide. He has been featured on Fox TV and performs throughout the United States at numerous nationally advertised powwows, festivals, and churches. He has been recognized by Native Peoples Magazine as being one of the top performers on the Native music scene.
