BANDS on the CD

Jimbo Whaley
Jimbo Whaley prides himself on original and unique music. For Bell Witch: The Movie Jimbo brought original songs such as The Foundation, The Sentence, Fly, and the touching original love song, The Dreams We Dream. Jimbo Whaley adds old-time picking and new bluegrass sounds to Bell Witch: The Soundtrack.

Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike
Watching Valerie Smith and Liberty Pike's high-energy performances have been compared to "...being an eye-witness to a thermonuclear explosion." Her vocal tracks are no different. Valerie brings energy and life to Bell Witch: The Soundtrack with original songs like Ol' John Bell (Kate's theme) and Jacob Spence, and also classic spirituals like Wade in the Water.

The Jeanette Williams Band
The Jeanette Williams Band brings an emotional sound to Bell Witch: The Soundtrack with I Remember, a heartfelt song about love lost, and Mountain Way of Life, a tribute to the hardships of mountain living. Jeanette's crystal voice has been honored twice in Bluegrass Now magazine and has added an angelic tone to Bell Witch: The Soundtrack.

The Jeff and Vida Band
The Jeff and Vida Band have been playing their unique style of bluegrass music, blending Appalachian bluegrass and old-time country and blues, for the past four years. As lead vocalist, Vida's raw, gritty voice adds excitement and interest to all of their tracks and has been compared to Loretta Lynn, Iris DeMent, Janice Joplin, and Gillian Welch. Their original song, Dead and Gone, evokes questions about life after this Earthly one and their version of Shady Grove is unlike any other and brings a sense of the "other-worldly" to Bell Witch: The Soundtrack.

Becky Buller
Becky's accomplished songwriting has been a chilling lyrical addition to BELL WITCH: The Soundtrack with songs like Leave Well Enough Alone and Blind Beggar. But she plays on many other songs as the fiddler for Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike. Her voice also adds character to the film when she serves as the singing voice of Kate, the Bell Witch.

The Wells Family
The Wells Family is all about "having fun" with their music, and that life-full attitude shines through in their performance. Singing original songs like Make New Choices and classics like Talk About Suffering, the Wells Family brings tight, haunting, five-part harmony to BELL WITCH: The Soundtrack.

ABOUT BELL WITCH: THE MOVIE
Bell Witch: The Movie is inspired by the most terrifying, supernatural event in American history. Documented by the State of Tennessee, the Bell Witch haunted and tormented an early pioneer family, ultimately murdering the family patriarch, John Bell, and inflicting a reign of terror throughout the surrounding community. These disturbances took place during the 1800s in Robertson County, Tennessee, near the present-day town of Adams.

The Bell Witch's character was enigmatic assuming many different forms, speaking with disembodied voices, and manifesting itself as a poltergeist. The Bell Witch wreaked havoc with the violent physical torture of the Bell family as well as attacks upon the frequent visitors to the Bell home.

Over the years, many independent eyewitness accounts of this haunting have been written which have firmly established the story's credibility. These accounts include, but are not limited to, sworn affidavits, verbal accounts by members of the clergy, and detailed manuscripts penned by those who experienced direct encounters with the Bell Witch, including General (later President) Andrew Jackson.

As you will find, the story of the Bell Witch is the most unusual and horrifying of all the legendary ghost stories
