Heartfelt stories of Americana - brilliantly crafted and supported by some of Portland, Oregon's premier players.
Alison Rice, (aka Ali Montana), is a veteran of Oregon's Portland music scene. In the 1970's and 1980's she was a member of the popular Northwest bands Country Al and his Pals, Trigger's Revenge, and Yankee Hula. She performed throughout the Western United States with singer/songwriter Keeter Stuart as the duo Keeter and Ali, opening for national acts that include Emmylou Harris, Doc Watson, Chris Hillman, and Norman Blake. Ali is pleased to release her first album an eclectic collection of songs reflecting her deep musical influences, a rich tapestry of story telling in true heartfelt country western and folk tradition. From straight forward C&W, (109 by Noon, Whiskey Town), to a tale about kids and gun violence in America, (Voice of A Gun), to a haunting observation about the new world order, (Big Man), Wagon Wheel Rut is receiving rave reviews. |
