Modern house music that takes you on a welcome soulful and jazzy ride.

Europa Soul Vol. 1, as will the ones to follow, feature the works of artist/producers from Europe.
The first track, "Living The Dream" by Phil Hooton of Leeds, England has a retro, deep house flavor which is what Kerri Chandler liked about it when he rocked an enthusiastic crowd with it at the 2004 Southport Weekender in England. It's followed by "Bruk Up", a quirky, happy stepping track by North London's own Digital Tendencies. Their free form groove will drag you in slowly so you want more just as it ends. The two following gems are by Nermin featuring the vocal and keyboard talents of Ayaah. Hailing from Austria, DJ/producer Nermin's appealing productions are a perfect compliment to Ayaah's soulful vocals. Everyone who has heard Ayaah has predictably asked if she is from the US. Understandably, "Time" and "Give It To You" are some soulful, jazzy house gems. Barbara Tucker liked the tracks enough to invite Ayaah to appear on her annual WMC "Let The Singers Be Heard" in Miami March of 2005. When Kenny Bobien heard Ayaah rock the allstar crowd that evening, he cooed, "A star is born!" Writer, Lewis Dene picked their two tracks for his USBeats industry promotional CD mailouts earlier this year.

The E.P. is a strong package and this volume and the ones to come will continue bringing the ground swell of European talent that deserves exposure beyond it's boarders.
