Huh?... Wha...What's that music coming from the attic?... Violins?... Cellos?... NO! IT'S A TERRIFYING BARRAGE OF SCREAMING GUITARS!!!
With Attic Symphony, guitarist Robert "PJ" Bussey and bassist Dan Wilkinson unleash an anthemic metal tour de force of symphonic proportions. If atmospheric riff meistering and " S'cuse me while I kiss the sky" guitar solos are your thing, then look no further than Attic Symphony.
The opening track "THE FIRE INSIDE" erupts from the speakers with a volcanic river of sound, sweeping the listener into its riff current amidst the siren wails of flanged slide guitar. The current doesn't let up through "MORNINGSTAR WARRIOR" and "FOUNTAIN OF TRUTH" as PJ's guitar rains down more fire.
"YESTERDAY,TODAY & FOREVER" welcomes the listerner into a lush garden of acoustic and 12 string electric guitars, and heartfelt melodic phrasing ala JEFF BECK or DAVID GILMOUR. The song intensifies with added swirling slide work and culminates with a soul stirring orchestra of guitar harmonies.
"EPIC PROPULSION" is a blazing acoustic fingerstyle masterwork that sets the stage for the prog like "INTO THE THRONEROOM" which is a musical depiction of Revelation ch.4 in the Bible.
The driving "WHITE HORSE ANTHEM" closes the CD with an uplifting classical vibe and sees Attic Symphony going out with the same fury that it came in.
