A sophisticated album of melodious jazz originals; a contemporary smooth sound rooted in the tradition featuring guitar and tenor saxophone. Beautiful ballads, edgy samba's and driving swings.
Stefan Gaspar is an accomplished saxophonist and guitarist, an unusual combination. To make it even more unique, he is also a great song writer and composer. He got his musical start at Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied with Joe Viola, Herb Pomeroy, Charlie Banacos and Jerry Bergonzi. To date, he has released six albums with his own band The Jazz Factory. His latest and greatest: The Stefan Gaspar Project. While he respects the tradition, he thinks that Jazz needs new songs and new ideas. That's why he writes songs and composes original music with a contemporary twist. |
