A delightfully romantic and inspirational compilation with grandeur from a young Flemish composer with distinct classical influences. The pieces are modern and eclectic, blended with charm and showing influences of Wagner and Bruckner from the past whilst maintaining a modern contemporary spirit.
This is indeed a very broad and daring choice of instrumental combinations providing brightness to the listener and making the musical experience a very enjoyable one especially with the lively use of juxtoposition and changing moods.
The composer revels in his invention and creativity to provide us with spirited passages and creating interest throughout the work.
