Produced by Jason Marcus (Death of Fashion) and
mastered by industry great Fred Kevorkian (The White
Stripes, Lou Reed, Sonic Youth, and Phish), "Ostrich"
showcases The Boroughs' knack for penning catchy,
melodic, rock songs that burst with energy.

Formed in 2002, the band consisting of Ryan Dwork (vocals, guitar), Grady Feldgus (drums) and Justin Farrell (bass) play loud, melodic, passionate rock n roll. Like their influences: The Clash, Lou Reed, Nirvana, The Violent Femmes, The Ramones and CCR, The Boroughs write and perform music that moves the mind, body and soul.

Ryan Dwork and Grady Feldgus met while attending the School of Visual Arts in NYC. The two bonded over common influences (Ramones, CCR, The Clash) and started The Boroughs in 2002. After a stint with another bassist, the band added Justin Farrell to complete the trio.

The Boroughs are a real NYC band, not a bunch of guys from Ohio living in Williamsburg who claim to be New Yorkers. Sneaking into CBGB's when they were just kids allowed the guys to form a real appreciation for underground music. "We were and still are students of rock. Living in New York is a constant education in persistence and creativity," says Ryan. "We learned to play like our lives depend on it. That's what it means to be New York band."

In 2004, The Boroughs were selected out of thousands to participate in Little Steven's Underground Garage Rock Festival and Guitar World's M.E.A.N.Y. fest.

Since day one the band's goals remain the same-- play shows, make records, pay rent and of course ROCK! The Boroughs will unleash their new EP to a willing public this summer-live shows and chaos will certainly ensue.
