During the first months of its existence, BLEND71 was particularly concentrating on writing songs. Above all songs like "Tiny Box" - a cracking ear candy, the rocking "It doesn't matter" and the absolutely radio-capable "Out of my Head" prove that the Alternative-Rockers from the Southern part of Switzerland are exceptionally gifted songwriters.
These clashing news made Ste and Jo from Maja (an already well known band in the Swiss music scene) prick their ears, and this is how they agreed to use synergies. In December 2004, BLEND71 started in a collaboration with Maja the production of the first Mini-CD at the Maja-studio (Matilde's Recording Studio). Thanks to the extraordinary and fruitful teamwork of these two bands, BLEND71 succeeded in capture a unique musical moment, which is delightfully reflected on their Mini-Album. The 5-track album was afterwards mastered at the Bionicmastering-Studio by Tom Hutten (Foo Fighters, Iggy Pop, Maja etc.) in New York
