Music for sopranino / descant / treble / bass recorder with guitar/cello; from medieval dances to multi cultural music from 2004. A beautiful, virtuosic performance. This compilation shows the recorder in all its variety, represented from the tiny sopranino to the bass recorder. The music extends from the middle age dances Ghaetta and Saltarello where a cello is used as a drum and drone over Renaissance songs like Morley's beautiful Almain, Baroque - (Handel Sonata A minor - to temporary compositions. In a very different style is "Arabia Nocturna" and most of all the thriving "Didgeridoo". Without knowing you hear a recorder, you might never have guessed. Inquiries about the scores are welcome. This collection is excellent for music education and recorder classes. It comprises the whole range of recorders as well as a time span of thousand years of music making. This albumincludes first and up only recordings of G. Mertens "Multicultural Suite" (incl. Arabia Nocurna and Didgeridoo) and B.Thorn "Salad Undressing".
