| "Tatanka" is a conceptual project that blends contemporary Native American music with mainstream pop/rock instumental. It pushes the envelope to encompass many styles, sounds, and genres of music, thereby bridging the gap between all cultures, nations and people. AIRO, American Indian Rock Opera, is a new entity that has been designed to include numerous musicians, performers, artists, dancers, and singers from across the globe. "Tatanka" features current award-winning recording artists such as Brule' and Nicole LaRoche. This album is the first release of what is to become a two-part series that will tell the story of the buffalo from before man, to its relationship with the American Indians, and through its near extinction due to the westward expansion across the plains. |
